July Fourth ,Washington D.C. , My Old Vietnam Buddy and I visited the Wall. I had only seen him twice breifly in the past five years and went to visit him in Norfolk Virginia.We became Brothers in Nam. A strange thing happened to us on the way to the Wall. Walking down the street we saw an AH1G Cobra Helicopter and went over to take a picture of us beside it. When we reached the Chopper I looked up at the tail Number and said to my Buddy that this chopper was in our Unit in Nam and the two of us had spent many hours together keeping it in the air. The Cobra was only there for fifteen minutes that day heading for a Museum. What are the chances of two Old War Buddies coming across an Aircraft that they both worked on together during the war. Besides taking a pic of the cobra in the street i found an old pic of my buddy sitting near the same aircraft 35 years ago, in which I took that pic Also.....
It was sad to see the names on the Wall that day but an Excitement to come across a piece of History that the two of us had touched many times......
